Every romantic soul hums along automatically to the ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ soundtrack even if you haven’t watched this classic Indian love story.

And the really, really romantic souls allow it to document specific moments in their lives, or simply schedule a screening of the movie…let’s say on their birthday, coupled with a re-watch of Titanic (you know who you are).

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (Something Happens) also known as ‘KKHH’, is an Indian Hindi coming-of-age romantic comedy drama film, released in India and the United Kingdom on 16 October 1998. It was written and directed by Karan Johar, and starred the popular on-screen pair of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in their fourth film together.

I’m getting to a point, bear with me.

I believe that we ought to celebrate these individuals. Who believe in an honourable love, a love worth dying for.

(To reconnect to that special place, and thaw the walls around your heart, do watch this film)

1. When he asked her to dance…

2. Playing the ‘guess the movie’ game

3. The basketball challenge

4. When he tells her that he loves her…

5. The epic, heart wrenching song

Another great film to watch? Cloud Atlas.
