All events take place within the southern area of the internationally renowned Maloti Drakensberg World Heritage Site and are point-to-point in nature, ensuring that large swathes of this iconic wilderness are traversed.

Incorporating and skirting some of the legendary features of the Southern Drakensberg such as Sani Pass, Twelve Apostles, Khanti Ridge, Gxalingenwa Gorge, Hodgson’s Peaks, Garden Castle, Rhino Peak and Langalibalele’s Pass participants in UTD will experience mountain running at its very finest.

The 100km Ultra-Trail Drakensberg is a qualifying race for the famous Ultra-Trail Mount Blanc and is a registered International Trail Running Association event.

As with all Running Man Adventures events a significant portion of each entry will be donated to Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife and they have announced that UTD will be partnering with Wildlife Act (www.wildlifeact.com) and assisting them to raise funds and awareness.
