On Monday, club chairperson Irvin Khoza announced that 54-year-old Swede Kjell Jonevret will be the new head coach of Orlando Pirates, on a three year contract.

The club has been in shambles these past few months, which lead to Muhsin Ertugral resigning in early November and Augusto Palacios standing in as interim coach; while the search for a new coach was underway.
